In the small, elegant midwestern town of Bay Harbor, the police department is staffed by capable Detective Kathryn “Kat” Walker, lovable Officer Landon Bold, and severe Chief Betsy Jones. Together Detective Walker and Officer Bold investigate their town’s small crimes, but they quickly discover they’re not alone when it comes to uncovering the truths of the town’s misdeeds. Two recently-retired women in their mid-fifties, Mrs. Christine “Chrissy” Hunter and Mrs. Kathleen “Kathy” Conley, are also solving small neighborhood puzzles in Bay Harbor and keep turning up during the police investigations. When the baby Jesus’ go missing from the church nativity scenes at all the churches in Bay Harbor, the hunt for the culprits may even culminate with death.
